6000 outlets of South Korea will be able to accept cryptocurrencies

The operator of mobile payments Korea Pay announced about its partnership with the Bithumb exchange which is the second for the trading volume in the country (after Upbit).

Thanks to this partnership, residents of South Korea will have an opportunity to pay with cryptocurrency in more than 6000 outlets through the whole country for goods and services of 200 providers. The companies will take efforts to make available the payment in cryptocurrency in 8000 South Korean shop by the end of this year.

“We have taken a significant step. We will take every effort to create an environment where cryptocurrencies are widely used.”

— emphasized one of Bithumb representatives.

The partnership of the Lithuanian Coingate blockchain platform with an eCommerce-application of Prestashop will allow 80 thousand European shops to accept the payment in cryptocurrencies.
