Co-founder and ex-head of Ripple California startup Chris Larsen was ranked 383rd in the list of 400 richest people on the planet according to Forbes, that estimated his fortune at $ 2.1 billion.

For the first time Larsen was included in this list, and also became the first representative of the cryptocurrency industry among the giants of world business.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, with an aggregate capital of $ 160 billion, took the first place on the list, Microsoft founder Bill Gates got the second – $ 97 billion, and the top three were traditionally closed by legendary investor Warren Buffet, who is known for his criticism of cryptocurrency. Forbes estimated the fortune of Berkshire Hathaway at $ 88.3 billion

At the peak of the price rise of the XRP token, Larsen’s capital was estimated to be in the range of $ 37 billion, up to $ 55 billion. He allegedly owns 5.19 billion XRP and a 17% stake in Ripple.

In February, he also topped the list of the richest representatives of the industry according to Forbes. Then the publication attributed him a fortune of $ 7- $ 8 billion.
