Visa can start a war against Bitcoin?

Visa’s chief executive states that Bitcoin is a product, not a currency. Visa is againts providing any cryptocurrencies a place for wire transfers and exchanges.

“I don’t view it as payment system player,”

– CEO Alfred Kelly commented to CNBC.

“We at Visa won’t process transactions that are cryptocurrency-based. We will only process fiat currency-based transactions,”

– he continued.

Bitcoin was implemented as an alternative de-centralized currency. But due to its growth, it became a source for making easy money. As bitcoin turnover grows, it has troubles such as high fees, slow transactions and volatile prices.

“My take is that bitcoin is much more today a commodity that somebody could invest in; and honestly, somewhat of a speculative commodity,”

– said Kelly.
