Law firms get paid in Bitcoin

Law.com. reported that the majority law companies acept cryptocurrency as a payment method, when working with startups.

And these are not some tiny firms that accept any currency to survive. These are such giants as The international law firm, Perkins Coie, that have been accepting coins since 2013.

Some companies have some concerns regarding the unpredictable behaviour of the coins. But other firms, including  Steptoe & Johnson and Frost Brown Todd are perfectly happy with such method of payment.

“I like the anonymity of it. But at the same time, I had to decline to represent people who wanted to do it because I don’t want to be investigated by anyone.”

– commented the criminal defense attorney Jay Cohen.

For sure, lawyers have to check twice if the Bitcoin is not stolen and if everything is legal.
