Taiwanese airline FAT Taiwan In will accept Bitcoin

In July 2017, AirBaltic announced the acceptance of payment in bitcoins, the American airline Star Jets International began accepting payments in bitcoins, and in December payments in bitcoins and Ethereum were made by Surf Air. Since March of this year, bitcoin-payments will also be introduced by the Japanese loukost-airline Peach Aviation.

Taiwanese airline FAT Taiwan Inc., which owns Far Eastern Air’s carrier brand, announced that it is ready to accept cryptocurrency for paying for air tickets and other services.

“The wide use of cryptocurrency in various areas will open a new future for the airline industry, hotel industry, online services for tourists and the industry as a whole. FAT is going to become the industry leader and use cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, “the company’s president Zhang Gangwei commented.
At the moment Far Eastern Air planes make more than 20 thousand flights to the countries of East and South-East Asia: China, Japan, Cambodia, the Philippines, South Korea and several cities in Taiwan.
