On March 26, the cost of transaction of bitcoin reached a record minimum. Users need to pay only 1 Satoshi for byte for their transaction to be included in the following block. In other words, now transaction for the minimum commission will be confirmed withing approximately 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, the average commission for transaction of bitcoins, according to, makes $1,23. We will note that in the period of peak values of the price of bitcoin in December, 2017, the commission for transfer of bitcoins reached a maximum of $55.

Among the reasons of decrease in the commissions experts name the usage by the large organizations and crypto exchanges of batch operation of transactions. Besides, according to them, the technology of scaling Segregated Witness could render positive influence.

According to, the number of SegWit-transactions continues to increase: at present they make 30%-35% of all transactions in the network of Bitcoin.

In the end of February, the commission fell to an absolute historical minimum, reaching value less than one Satoshi for byte. Back then, it was possible to carry out transaction at the commission less than ten cents (about 100 Satoshi).
