BLOCKCHAIN CRYPTOCURRENCY REGULATIONS

More than 200 000 South Koreans signed the petition against crypto regulation

On January 16, a petition against the regulation of cryptocurrency industry in South Korea gathered more than 200 000 signatures (212 700 signatures), and, according to the national law, the government has to react to the petition in the next 30 days.

The petition requires the national decision-makers to reduce the earlier announced trading regulations that would not help “a happy dream” that has became true with the help of virtual currencies.

At the same time, the petition is also in favor of several of South Korea’s cryptocurrency regulations, such as banning anonymous trading accounts. Interesting that South Korea’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb announced that it will always support “the right set of regulations”.
