Ripple is planning to invest in projects, which would like to use the XRP cryptocurrency in their products. According to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple continues to focus its efforts on developing products for the banking industry, but this does not prevent it from seeking alternative uses for its crypto currency at the same time.
“We will continue to provide solutions for institutional cases, but we are certainly willing to enter into agreements with companies that are going to use XRP in various ways,” Garlinghouse said.
According to Garlinghouse, the best startup in this plan is an American start-up Omni. In January, Ripple and two of its executives invested $ 25 million in Omni after the startup agreed to use XRP in its products.
“You can count on the fact that there will be more such examples,” Garlinghouse said.
