The blockchain startup VeChain signed the contract with Oxford University

Specializing in chains of deliveries and protection of goods against fakes Chinese blockchain company VeChain will cooperate with Oxford University within the VeResearch project which is engaged in technological development of the VeChain Thor platform the cornerstone of which id the “blockchain as service” model (blockchain-as-a-service, BaaS).

“VeChain always seeks to work with the best representatives of the academic environment, and Oxford is the best university from the best. In recent years the blockchain technology is developed by computer geniuses and professionals, however the academic community for some reason stands aside.”

The institute of mathematics at Oxford University will work on the mathematical models and proofs necessary for operations in VeChain ecosystem.

Researchers of institute will also develop decisions for scaling of the Thor platform and to project smart contracts. However all innovations at the same time will remain in the intellectual property of VeChain.

The company has also signed the contract with the German car producer BMW.
