A group of Slovak cryptoenthusiasts organized a public action, in which they projected bitcoin logo on the building of Central Bank of Slovakia. Thus, activists of the local branch of Paralelná Polis expressed their protest against the policy of the regulator, which, according to them, is a real “witch-hunt” against bitcoin-exchanges and other cryptocurrency companies.
Bitcoin images also appeared on the buildings of several other local banks. In addition you could also see the projection of the Monero logo on the building of the Central Bank of Slovakia.
The action (Enlightenment for Banks) was held on Thursday. The statement on the website of Paralelná Polis states:
“Cryptocurrency for the banking system is something that Gutenberg’s way of printing has become for literature. Just as the church lost control over manual reprinting of books, central banks also lose control over new cryptocurrencies. Slovak banks, instead of using unlimited opportunities for cryptocurrencies and supporting young crypto companies, remain in the dark. Witch-hunts in the field of cryptocurrencies and blockchain of transactions in favor of exchanges continue. ”
According to activists, enlightenment for banks is an attempt to get out of the darkness, which, as it was already in the 15th century, prevented the publication of revolutionary printing technology, and today in the 21st century threatens the arrival of a new decentralized era of blockchain.
