Harvard Professor predicts that the price of bitcoin would drop to $ 100 within the next decade.

Harvard Professor and former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kenneth Rogoff said that with a high probability the price of bitcoin would drop to $ 100 within the next decade.
I believe that bitcoin will cost only a fraction of its current price, if you look ten years ahead. By that time, the amount of $ 100 is much more likely than $ 100,000, “Rogoff said.
According to him, bitcoin is not very useful and as a means of payment – the first cryptocurrency is not so many uses, except tax evasion and money laundering. Rogoff partly explains his forecasts by the fact that governments of different countries will not allow decentralized or anonymous digital money to completely displace state currencies.

At the same time, Rogoff said that he himself is in favor of international regulation of the Crypto-currency, and not their prohibition.

“Global regulation is very necessary now. Even if the US and China take on crypto-currencies, and Japan – no, then people will continue to launder money through Japan, “Rogoff added.
