The representatives of the Agency for Financial Services of Japan (FSA) has recently inspected the offices of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinchek, which was hacked a few weeks ago.
The purpose of the campaign was to examine the financial condition of the company and to check the reliability of security systems of the trading platform. It is also worth noting that FSA performs this kind of testing for the first time.
The Agency also intends to examine the causes of the recent incident, which caused the website users to lose more than $ 500 million in the NEM cryptocurrency. FSA obliged the management of the Exchange to strengthen the reliability of security systems and by to provide the department with a report on the work done by February 13 . The Agency also said that Coincheck will continue its work and accept deposits in the Japanese yen.
