Facebook and Instagram have banned advertising of cryptocurrency and ICOs

According to the new rules of advertising in the world’s largest social network Facebook, users will no longer be able to advertise ICOs and any cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin.

As stated in the message, the two key principles of the company regarding advertising are that ads must be reliable and get people’s trust. In this regard there is no place for misleading or deceptive ads in this social network.

“We have adopted a new policy prohibiting the advertising of financial products and services, which are often associated with misleading or deceptive activities: binary options, ICOs and cryptocurrency,” the statement says.

The company added that it wants Facebook users to learn about new products and services without fear of becoming a victim of scammers. At the same time, many organizations that deal with the activities listed above are not acting well.
