Russia is officially allowing Crypto-Exchanges in February?

Alexey Moiseyev, the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, has reported about their department’s intention to legalize cryptocurrency exchanges. However, these platforms must be officially registered and obtain a status. This is the main condition of vote for the bill. The relevant bill will be provided for consideration in the State Duma in February.

The official comments:

“We don’t want to limit and regulate, but we will put some frameworks. The general idea is that people will be seling and buying at the official exchanges and it will be declared, legalized.”

Some changes will also take place in the Civil Code. People will be capable of using smart contracts while making agreements. The government believes that it’s time to be on the same page with the rest of the world – benefit from using blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and smart contracts.
