The authorities of Japan will inspect 15 unlicensed crypto-exchanges

Japan’s Finance Minister Taro Aso announced that checks will be conducted in 15 cryptocurrency exchanges of the country that applied for a license (but not yet received).  The minister noted that first of all the department will pay attention to the procedures of technical security and management of user assets.

FSA announced the verification of 32 local cryptoexchanges. The inspection was to affect 16 crypto-instruments, which had already applied for licenses in the FSA. Also, the agency announced the verification of the activities of the other, already licensed trading platforms.

The following exchanges were awaiting the license at that time: Minnano Bitcoin, Payward Japan, Lemuria Bitcoin Exchange (Bitcrements), Campfire Corporation, Tokyo Gateway, Lastroots Corporation, Debit, Eternal Link, FSHO Corporation, Kirin Corporation, Bit Station, Blue Dream Japan, Mr. . Exchange, Bmex Corporation and Bitexpress Corporation.

In September last year, the Agency granted applications for a license for 11 local crypto-instruments. Among them: Money Partners, Quoine, Bitflyer, Bit Bank, SBI Virtual Currencies, GMO Coin, Bittrade, Btcbox, Bitpoint, Fisco Virtual Currency and Zaif. After that, in December, Japanese trading platforms Tokyo Bitcoin Exchange, Bit Arg Exchange Tokyo, FTT Corporation, Xtheta Corporation, and Bitocean Corporation were licensed.
