The largest cryptocurrency exchange in Japan BitFlyer opened the doors for users from the USA.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange became the fourth company to receive the so-called BitLicense, which allows to carry out activities related to cryptocurrencies in the state of New York. Prior to this, the relevant permission from the New York City Financial Services Authority (NYDFS) was received by Coinbase, Circle and Ripple.
According to representatives of bitFlyer, US users will be able to trade bitcoin with zero commissions by the end of the year. At the beginning of next year, some liquid altcoins will be added to the stock exchange listing, including Litecoin, Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum Classic (ETC).
In the summer of 2015, NYDFS ordered all companies operating in the state to apply for BitLicense within 45 days of the entry into force of the new rules. Companies also had to pay an application fee of $ 5,000, which, if refused, was not refundable.
